Batch processing in Mas 90/200

Are inventory transactions and PO receipts processed in batches in Mas 90/200 or is it real time?

What if anything is batch processed? I am assumming most of the accounting is batch processed.

Wow, you really need to go to some MAS classes. In Inventory there is no batch processing although there is an enhancement that allows it but in normal MAS inventory does not have batch processing. When you update a transaction all transactions are updated. In PO the batch option is set in the PO setup options.

Batch processing means that entries are grouped into batches and when you process that batch only your entries are posted. In PO you may have entered 5 receipt of goods and someone else entered 7 receipt of goods. When you update your batch only your 5 receipt of goods are posted.

In MAS everything must be posted. There is no "real time" meaning that when you hit "Accept" it is automatically posted. After doing data entry you have to go to Update Transactions to post your entries.

Thanks for the reply, that answered my question.

I don't need to go to any Mas classes because I am not going to learn Mas. I just need a few questions answered for a client.

I do write some crystal for them though, and so far have not had any problems.
