I have a js which is executed through batch processing. The script adds bookmarks and then formats them. There are several parent/child levels.

The problem is when I execute the batch sequence using "Selected Folder" option. There are 12 folders within the directory and 375 documents in all.

The program hangs and has to be shut down through Task Manager. It seems when I process this for one of the 12 sub folders it occassionally does the same thing.

Is this something that is a known issue or a bug in Adobe Acrobat or coould there be a local cause, like corrupt files?

How large are the files you are working with, please look at the total file size of the 12 folders, as well as the largest single file? How much RAM is available on the machine doing the batch process?

Can you reproduce the error with the same folder? Or does the error happen at random?

I don't think there is a RAM problem. I stuffed all the files into one directory and it ran without a hitch.

I think the batch processing has a problem with the the directory structure for soem reason.
