I have roughly 400 images of varying sizes some portrait and some landscape. Is there a way I can run a batch process to resize them all so that the longest side whether portrait or landscape is 300 pixels.

Hi

Have a peek at the fireworks batch process

file > batch process

You will then need to choose your 400 images from their folder and press "next". You will see a list of command options and scale is in there. Choose to "Add" scale and the second half of the dialogue will show the scaling options.

Choose "scale to fit area" and then enter 300 pixels in both max width and max height. Run through the rest of the motions and set your batch off. This should do it. Derren
