Hi,

I am running a Dell Vosto with W10.

Several times a day I have to unmute my speakers by clicking on the speaker icon and then click the speaker icon again. I would like to use a bat file to accomplish this and then after a period of time mute the speakers again.

Can anyone offer a suggestion how to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

What is the source of your audio? If it is Windows Media Player, it has keyboard shortcuts for all the volume-related functions, in particular, F7 will mute and unmute the speakers.

I would think that hitting that key would be easier than running a batch file. But if you really need to do it from a file, you could consider using AutoHotky (

Thank you for your input. I have AutoHotKey and didn't realize that it could do that. My bat file is running great!!!
