I am setting up 300 new users for the start of the school term so i have created a batch file to create users, shares, permissions, groups etc. I would like the batch file to map each user an N:\ drive which will correspond to their shared folder on the server.

I have tried

net user username /homedir:D:\USERS\username

which puts the homedir path in profile, home folder, local path but i would ideally like it to go underneath ie. connect N: to d:\users\username

I hope this makes sense.

Please does anyone know how to do this??

Thankyou in advance

Lindsay

Hello,

Share the homedir as username$. Share is then invisible when browsing the network. Specify the homedir per user in the AD. Use the following command in the batchfile. "net use n: /home". This is always working.

Succes,

Klaas
