Batch file renaming, I was going to write my own, until I found this Bulk Rename Utility it has far more features than I was goin to write as well.

Thanks for sharing! That little apps sounds VERY promising. I can already think of a few places where it might come in handy. I've used a few already myself, but this one sounds like it will be better.

I've used that exact app to rename close to 150,000 or so files on a NAS, due to fact that some file-names where not conform and caused the backup (replication) task to freak out and quit.

and I got to say, it's quick, though it still took a couple of days, but the alternatives out there would not handle as many file-names as this app did, and would have taken a week or more to accomplish the same...

so it get's my thumbs up...

Batch processing 150,000+ files. Well, if it can handle that, then it can surely handle ANYTHING I'd use it for!

according to their website, it will handle 100,000 files or more, so I took it for a test ride... and it worked...
