Hi,
I would like to create a batch file that will copy and rename jpegs from a digital camera to a shared public drive on a server based on the date that the jpegs were created.
Example:- h: (removable media digital camera drive)
p: (public drive where files are backed up)
Jpg creation date:- 25.01.05
OS: Win98
I would like to move and rename
H:\images\dsc0001.jpg
to
p:\digital photos\25.01.05\dsc001_25.01.05.jpg (or something similar)
I've done a bit of searching on the web and I know the 'date created' value can be taken and used in the renaming with XP or 2000 but the problem is the machine is win98 and I don't want to upgrade because the machine has been nice to it's user
Does anyone know if this can be done?
Would be very grateful if anyone can assist.
Thanks in advance,
Niall
