Hi,

I would like to create a batch file that will copy and rename jpegs from a digital camera to a shared public drive on a server based on the date that the jpegs were created.

Example:- h: (removable media digital camera drive)
p: (public drive where files are backed up)
Jpg creation date:- 25.01.05
OS: Win98

I would like to move and rename

H:\images\dsc0001.jpg
to
p:\digital photos\25.01.05\dsc001_25.01.05.jpg (or something similar)

I've done a bit of searching on the web and I know the 'date created' value can be taken and used in the renaming with XP or 2000 but the problem is the machine is win98 and I don't want to upgrade because the machine has been nice to it's user :)

Does anyone know if this can be done?

Would be very grateful if anyone can assist.

Thanks in advance,
Niall
