batch etc. for removing symantec live update

We are changing over to Trend, we cannot remotely remove our symantec live update by using C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\LSETUP.EXE /U the uninstall program just kind of hangs. is there a batch file that could run this process quietly? any help would be greatly appreciated. our last solution would be to dameware into each machine and uninstall manually.

If you download NONAV there's a batch file in there for forcefully removing SAV if you look in there you might find a clue. Otherwise it's the manual way.

we are trying to uninstall NAV live update our trend will take care of the rest. we have a script that will remove live update only on PCs where the user has local administrative rights (we dont want to do this). we want to write a GPO that can uninstall live update reguardless of the users rights.

use the runas command with domain admin credentials.

This will sort it. It's a runas wrapper you can use this to execute your script with admin rights and it even encrypts your password.
