Anyone run into problems with the upgrade to 360? Most of the problems we are having today are with reports from crystal.
This is one from AP Aging:
Failed to open Rowset.
Details: ADO error Code 0x80004005
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permited when the subquery follows =,!=,<,<=,>,>= or when the subquery is used as an expression.
SQL state 21000
Native error:512

Go to Exact's Customer Portal and see the information on using Crystal Reports Version 10 with Macola ES (Not using Version 8.5 anymore)

I have been getting the same error on the AR aging, which is the same crystal report as the ap aging; however, the issue is not with the crystal report. The problem is with the view that is created prior to the report running. If you go into SQL enterprise manager while you have the error up, you can open the DB to views, sort by date, the must recent should be labeled something like gbkoutstandingitems
try running the view and you will get the same error.

I am current chasing exact on this issue will advise.
It is either in the data, or in their DLL that generates the view.

One more thing it is likely that you can run the aging for some vendors, but if you try a larger vendor with alot of activity bamm!

I heard today that Exact has a beta of the aging reports to correct the problem. They also have to fix the date format on all the canned reports, seems they were all set to a Date\Time format, which I've noticed this week as well.

NE, are you having any problems with the PO reprint?

I am starting up a converted Progression account this week. They are using the cobol PO print only. I know we are quite a few bugs to the list. Setting the default paper size is not working in Shop Floor, all crystal reports are defaulting to A4 paper size (360 issue).
Some others :
17.766.584 - Multiple complaints of slow performance of Crystal reports since updating to batch 360
17.693.582 - Subquery error is occurring in certain data in 360

We are finding that there are quite a few issues related to the upgrade to Crystal 10. Macola WMS does not yes support Crystal 10, Macola Event Manager does not yet support Crystal 10, etc... Exact is promising that updates will be produced soon, but I do not think that this rollout of Crystal 10 in batch 360 and Progression were well thought out. It is my position that everyone should wait a couple of months until they get all these issues worked out.

I hope that things in 360 smooth out quicker than a few months. Seems for some companies you are dammed if you do, and dammed if you don't. I have heard that Exact is continuing to release fixes for 340?

I guess I don't understand why it would get released if there are still so many problems with it. And getting fixes and information from Exact has been a nightmare, even our VAR has been having problems getting answers.

Stravis,
I did't fully appreciate your advise until now. Just wondering if what I am seeing is the normal. Well someone on the network prints a crystal report to a laser printer (ALL HP's) and then the printer goes offline waiting for your to load A4 paper.

NEmacGuy,
I have seen the issue with the HP laser printers before. There is a way to resolve this issue through some driver or printer configuration, however I do not remember how to resolve this exactly. I would suggest searching through some of the solutions available in a Google search for "HP a4 paper offline".

We had that problem when we first went to 340 and it was fixed by having the user switch the paper size in the printer settings in Macola from the main file menu.

In a related note, we've found you can get past the "Can't Initialize Report" error in the GL posting proccess by turning on print preview from the User settings menu and printing from there.

:) :) :)

How long you been in the Macola world? This seems to be their primary M.O. It seems to be getting more ridiculous though with ES. IMHO Macola should come up with some real test data instead of the Macola electronics or bike company they have now. I have never seen any of their Dummy Data actually represent the market they are in.

It is official ES360 is now only available on a restricted basis due to problems with Crystal. The official reason for this retraction is the following:

1.) Security Rights concerns
2.) Report Speed
3.) Report Running Problems with a variety of reports.

ES 360 will still be available on a limited basis for those needing other updates the product provides. Exact will release ES 360 to the masses after resolving all of these issues.
