Hi everyone.
I'm currently doing work experience with the ICT technician in my school. At the moment we are upgrading ICT3.
We have almost completed the upgrade, but have hit a snag: the bat logon script that maps the printers is not working.
Basically the logon script maps printers based on location. So, there are three main lines in the script, which map printers beginning with ICT1 to printers located in ICT 1 etc. As all the computers use the same naming convention 'ICT1/2/3-(computer number), this logon script should work. This logon script worked for the old Windows 98 computers but is not working with these new XP machines.
The logon script appears to map the printers in ICT1 and ICT3, but is setting the default printer to a printer in ICT1.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Many Thanks, James
