I have an HP ProCurve Access Point that is using a 128-bit WEP key and MAC filtering. The AP accepted a 13 character key which I'm assuming translates to 104 bits and is padded with the rest. I have an HP notebook. Using XP Zero Configuration to configure the integrated 802.11b card, it accepts the 13 character key and connects. I have a desktop using Linksys WUSB-11 and I entered the same key but it does not connect. Linksys support says I need to enter a 10 or 26 "digit" key. Does this mean I need to get the ASCII code for the 13 characters and translate to hex?
Thanks.

Yes, the 13 ASCII characters translate to 26 hex digits. Somewhere in the access point or in your card software it will "reveal" the 26 hex digits, you shouldn't have to do this conversion manually.
