i have a 406 with 1x digital 30 port and 1x analog 30 port expansion module all on firmware 3.0.59 currently working.
Now to upgrade the 406 to Ip500v2 with version 7.0.27 i have built the ip500v2 offline with expansion modules and loaded onto the ip500V2 pabx.
question is : can i just plug the 2 expansion modules to my new 500V2 and it will auto-upgrade? or do i have to do the Ds30 module attached to 406 to 3.2.999 1st then again to version 4.X and then plug it to ip500V2?

kkkites,

You will want to plug the expansion modules in to the 500v2, then start manager and perform and upgrade. Since the 500v2 will be at the latest, manager will only attempt an upgrade of the expansion modules which require an upgrade.

The software does not automatically upgrade. You do need to go through the manual steps above.

3.2.999 for the DS30 or you will have weird sh!t happening

But only if the DS30 is a V2, a V1 (metal ports) do not need the upgrade in two steps.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
