- Are snmp OID queries case sensitive?
- Is there a standard set of MIBS that all SNMP enabled devices should have?
- Is there a standard OID to query to get a device Manufacturer, or would that be Host specific?
- Is there a standard OID to query to get a device Model, or would that be Host specific?
- Is there a standard OID to query to get a device Serial Number, or would that be Host specific?
- I have tried to query snmpget –v 2c device.org HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrDeviceDescr. My response is, HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrDeviceDescr = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID.
- Does this mean the MIB is not installed on device.org?
- Does this mean I have a syntax error?
- I have tried to query snmpget –v 2c device.org HOST-RESOURCES-MIB:roductID. My response is, HOST-RESOURCES-MIB:roductID:
- Does this mean the MIB is installed on device.org but there is no value stored in that location?
Thanks
