I bought cisco router 2600 series and switch 1900 series to practice for my CCNA exam. I have checked several websites to get idea of the steps to install and configure the above equipment but unsuccessful. Please could any of you gurus in this area direct me to where I can obtain the information or show me the steps to do it. Thanks a million.

Do you have any CCNA study material? It walks you through initial configuration. If you want to get your CCNA then you need to understand what commands you need and why you need them rather than us just giving them to you with no explanation. We are more than happy to assist, but you have to try first. If you have a configuration in place that isn't working, post it here and we can point you in the direction you need to go.

As Unclerico says, the best way is to help yourself....Google is a good friend :)

As a matter of interest what are you trying to achieve with this:-

PC --> Switch --> Router ????

No offense but an old 1900 series switch will do you no good studying for an exam , it is not even IOS. You should have gotten a minimum of a 2950 to get true IOS .

Yeah, there isn't much that is relevant to CCNA which the 1900 can do for you.

Try to get a 2960G, 3560G, or 3750G if you can, but as Viper says, a 2950 would have to be your minimum.
