i am reading that remote assistance can be initiated by the client via msmessenger and email.

i have two computers networked and i want to similate that. my server does not allow me to accept remote assistant requests via messenger. it says my mssenger is new enough. i wasn't even allowed to down load it directly from microsoft. security seems to not allow me.

so thats the server and i assume a security feature.

is it possible to be logged onto the server and answer a request?

the server and the client are just in a lab environment but do have access to the internet.

so if i am an admin then do i log onto another client using my userid and get the request there?

and then from that i am allowed to follow up on the request and use remote access to go there?

is there a way to be at the server and initiate a request to a client?

thanks...
