You will tell by the question that follow's - I don't know a great deal about hand generated reports.

Currently using Crystal 8.5, I have a database with one main table.

I require to generate a multi-columed report showing simply totals of values and applicable dates. The field in question is text based with 3 possible text values.

Could some kind soul tell me how to construct the Syntax necessary to pull just one of the 3 text items and count the instances it occurs within the applicable date range?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

Either create a running total that is only evaluated for that value or use a formula such as :

if {field} = "My Value" then 1 else 0

Then subtotal the formula Andrew Baines
