Hello everyone,

My question may seem very basic but I'm totally lost after switching from XP to server 2k3. I'm trying to run a basic lan windows network where I don't need logins or passwords to get into computers, I can acomplish this on 2 of the xp machines but I can't seem to get into any of the new machines running server 2003.

They keep asking for logins and passwords, my question is how can I change the security policies (?) or something else where I can login to them without having to do this? I might as well note I can get into any of the xp machines without any trouble but not into the new machines.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this!

If you enable the guest account on all the computers, that should do it - then everyone can access your files, including the guy sitting in his car outside and your neighbors. (I really don't think this is a wise idea).

I agree. If you run any IIS services, there are folks out there constantly trying to break into FTP sites. Need to make sure you dod not leave any back doors open let alone unlocked.
