Hi all,
I’m a fairly new user to Sharepoint. I am in charge of modifying a team site for a group at my company. A server admin created the site. I have administration privileges. I need to modify or remove the infrastructure links (Documents, Pictures, Lists, Discussions, Surveys) but I can’t seem to do that with basic administrative access.

How can I do that? Do I need Top-level Site Admin privileges? I can open the site in Frontpage but I really don’t want to make the changes there because of the unghosting problem. Nor am I sure that is the correct way to make these changes.

The server admin is not here this week and I am trying to get these changes done. I hope someone can provide a little insight!

Thanks.

Hello,

As far as I know you can't remove those links without modifying the site through Frontpage (and then you get the problem you mention with pages being unghosted). There is no setting in the "webinterface" where you have the option to delete or hide them.

Cheers,
Thomas
