I read the other post, but do not understand the process....I have a customer with a basic ip office with analog trunks. Operator cannot transfer current caller to cell....How do I accomplish this...
You can't - simply a limitation of Basic mode and Analog trunks.
Get what we used to call Centrex, where you can flash, sending the caller to hold at the Central Office and give you a new dial tone on the same line, dial another outside number, and disconnect when it starts ringing or after the party answers. Because you are paying for a feature from the phone company, the caller waiting back at the Central Office is now connected to the 3rd party, and your Centrex line is available for another call
You are absolutely right, and thank you budbyrd for the link to the manual
Allow an extension to use the Remote Call Forward feature, program the User's cell phone into a personal speed dial, and forward the extension to the speed dial location.
Operator will transfer caller to the User's 2-digit extension number as usual, but the system will foward the call out to the cell phone number (using a 2nd line)
I had to look it up... I have done it hundreds of times on Partner systems, but Basic mode is hit or miss if it actually has all the same features. I do know it won't do the ASA feature.
Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*
