basic info on MS outlook 2003 scripting

When I open outlook, I would like to have my inbox on the left, the calendar on the right in equal size windows restored to the size of my screen.

I know nothing at all about outlook vba - Is this something I could accomplish with a simple macro? Or maybe this is a feature buried somewhere?

Any recommended web resources on customizing MS Outlook 2003 interface?
