Basic file types and selecting from a SQL table

I have two questions:

1. I need to access data from an Oracle table within a DataBasic program. I found the OPEN statement, but I can't find any documentation on how to let the program know what the filename for the Oracle table is.

2. Is there a list of DataStage file types defined anywhere? I keep seeing them referenced in the docs, but have yet to find a list.

Any help will be appreciated...
