I have never worked with CGI, but I have a project on which I need to submit a form securely to a payment terminal. It is a simple post form. There is a cgi-bin directory. What would I need to do to send this form securely? Should I change the html extension to cgi and place it in the cgi bin?

thanks for your help

You'll need SSL on your site to gather the relevant information, and the payment provider should provide you with an interface to their site.

The documentation from your payment provider should have all you need, but don't forget to cover your own side of the equation
