sorry afraid i'm crap on apache - only ever do iprint and webaccess with it and as you know - the setup's pretty much do that for you

i am changing the way our virus files are updated to pc as we are required
i have setup all the CID - to hang off our netware server so that the client update via http

on 3 of our servers i get an access forbidden error 403
i should expect a ftp still file listing

i assume it's just something in the httpd.conf even a fudge will do i just created a directory in the sys:apache2\htdocs so i have sys:apache2\htdocs\sophos\esnt and sys:apache2\htdocs\sophos\esxp our ipprint works ok on this server so apache is working - just not to that dir

by default, the Apache security settings in the httpd.conf file prevent you from getting a file listing. You can gain access to those directories, but you have to first access the DirectoryIndex file (normally index.html), or specify the file you want by the exact name.

To get the directory listing, find the IndexOptions setting and set it to what you want;

Then, grant access to those directories using the Directory directive;
