Basic Admin Training

Next week I have to do some basic admin training for some definity programmers. My question: Does anyone have a list of what you show them?

They said they dont want to take their main programmers job, but the prices they are being charged for label changes are killing them.

Are you talking about training them on Legend or Definity?

And I guess I would have to ask, what is "label changes"?

they want to program buttons, labeling of extensions, Im assuming adding users to cover group 30...

What would you show them?

Ps, I appreciate all that you do on this forum....this is how I learned most of my stuff..

Labeling is done in System Admin, Labeling, of course.

Buttons are programmed under Centralized Programming, or on each phone.

Adding extensions to cover group 30 (If that's the right one) is done under extensions > more > grp calling....

What would I would show them...

Perhaps the courses I have developed over the years with a great deal of time invested would be a good place to start.

But again, this is one more thing in that book I have not written yet......

Does anyone really want me to write it???

You can start with the simple stuff, but bear in mind, DEFINITY people have a HARD TIME grasping how the LEGEND works.

Definty charges for each and every feature, LEGEND HAS IT ALL BUILT IN.

Therefore the DEFINITY mind set is totally different, that's why they can't easily comprehend.
