Question1: Does CNBIP:LIM=...,BRDID=108,EXTDEV=YES give me the Revision state and software level of a base station. f.e BS330/BS340 (if BRDID 108 = ELU31)?
I can't test it myself at the moment !

Question2: What is the right way to upgrade a base station BS330 or BS340?

To my understanding their are two ways:
a: Use BSM (Base Station Manager)
b: Use command CNBLI with parameter IND (Individual position where the base station is connected)

Method a is ok with a few base stations. With many base station this is cumerbersome.
Method b looks to me the preferred option.

Is their any restriction in which case method b can not be used ? (May be a revision restriction of the base station)

I prefer b, I think is faster than a, and you can use it in both gap base station bs330 and 340

b would be faster if you don't have physical acces to the BS (eg difficult to reach). take note that, when upgrading BS on ELU31, that the card must be blocked, so all 8 BS are out of service. that's the main advantage of method a.

choose what you like

cheers
