I have a report that must give a count of both the number of surveys sent to a customer, and the number of surveys completed by that customer, per month. Each time a new survey is sent, a field Srvy_Dte is filled for that record. The same goes for cmpl_dte for when the survey is completed.

How can I display the number of surveys sent and completed per month in the last 13 months? Would your proposed solution take care of the fact that a customer may complete the survey on a different month than it is sent? (For example, the survey was sent on Aug 30th, but was completed on Sept 3rd)

Thank you so very much for any help you provide!!

Hi, please could you provide the following information:

Crystal reports version
Database type
Connectivity type

And could you answer the following questions:

Does each survey have a unique value?
What is your current report structure (Including grouping)?

The easiest way to add the charts you describe is to create a series of formulas to check and give boolean results based on the relevant outputs.

The fact that certain db fields are only popoulated upon completion or sending it means a quick null check for each ought show counts per survey / customer / ? (Can't really explain until questions above answered).

Each survey actually can contain several reports. Each report has a unique id. The survey has a unique id by combining the survey customer id field with the survey date.

As for the reports current structure, it is grouped first on a string (the string combines the survey date with the customer id field), and then on a formula I called Base_Date, which was my attempt at combining the two dates. I'm not sure the structure of my report will help, considering I'm pretty sure it is incorrect and may need to be changed in order to match your solution.

The counts are simply the number of surveys sent/completed. Is there anything else you may need? Again, thank you very much!
