I'm new to Cisco phones. I have a non-profit thrift store that I'm helping. They have a Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series phone system (520 to be exact) with Cisco 7960 IP Phones. They are using SCCP and seem to be set to Octal Line not dual line.

They would like the ability to "barge" or "join" into a call. Essentially, when the front cashier is on the phone the office manager would like to pick up the phone, press line 1 (the active line) and join the call. Right now they can't do that. Can anyone tell me what settings I should change to make this possible?

Thanks.

David

Look up Single button Barge on line, sounds like that's what you want. There are some requirements your system has to meet, but they seem pretty basic.
