Hey, I control a pc deployment center and have a access DB, i was wondering if there was a way to scan in the serial # from various compaq products(monitor, tower)and I also have a couple other various brand name s/n I need to log. can this be done?

Thanks

I'm a newbie to this, so bear with me. do I have to any special setup to scan in the various barcodes.do I need to Install anything to make this work. Thanks for your time

If you use a Barcode "Font" for code39 or UPC then all you need is a program that can print. Liek word or Excel or Access Wordperfect or something. To read a barcode back into the computer all you need is a Keyboard wedge scanner. That's a barcode scanner that connect to the keyboard port with a "Y" adapter cable.

So anywhere the cursor is blinking in any application you can scan the barcode and get the barcode characters.

This all starts at $349.00 on this site.
