I downloaded a free barcode font from the Internet and want to use it in an Excel file. I have tested this out manually in a test Excel file and it prints and scans fine.
However, I plan to use it in a template file. This template file is used in conjunction with an Intranet site. User goes to an ASP page on our Intranet site and makes a number of selections and submits form. Server opens Excel template file in the background and populates that template file with data based on user selections. The field that contains the barcode is also updated. The Excel file is then printed and the file is closed without saving.
The problem is that while the barcode prints fine when I open the file manually, when it gets updated automatically by the server, the barcode does not display on the printout. The value under the barcode is correct but the barcode doesn't display.
Any suggestions.
