Barcodes and GFS rotation???

Hi,

Does anyone have experience in using tape/medias with barcode labels AND using GFS rotation in the backup jobs at the same time?

When creating the GFS jobs it automatically creates three (3) media pools pr. job (daily, weekly and monthly) - each with a different base serial number (fx. 1000000, 1100000 and 1200000). But how will this work when using barcodes? When the barcode reader reads the barcode the serial number is reset to match the barcode, right?

Will the result be mediapools with a base serialnumber of fx. 1200000 but containing tapes with a whole different serial number fx. BCK105, BCK106, BCK107 etc.?

Any help is higly appreciated!
