How can I make my barcode to print characters. It only prints the number and not the letters?

What barcode methodology is it? Not all barcodes are alphanumeric.

Our company uses the barcode blaster and its software package. It can be bought from cognitive solutions. We connect them to POS software in retail enviroments.
