I am scanning data into a field on an Access form. When I push the ENTER key after scanning, I can make visible and referesh a subform on the form.

Is it possible for me to make visible and refresh my subform without hitting the ENTER key? Can't make any of the events do it.

Thanks for any help.

Can't the scanner send a NewLine at end of the data ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

I don't know. I can look into that. But what I want is some event that will refresh the screen. Is that what Newline does?

Thanks for your reply.

I guess NewLine will emulate the Enter key.
At least it will fire the AfterUpdate event procedure of the control.
