barcode scanner-where do i read num from?-tviman?

Hi tviman...
thanks for your help....what kind of file should i store the number in??? Can Flash read from a notepad file??...How do i call the file in flash???Sorry but this is new to me.

Yes, you can read from a plain text file (which is what your bar code really is). Check this out:

This explains how to read and load text from an external file. When the barcode is read, you can then display the appropriate graphic image.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
