Hi

The general overview is we require an application to control about 7 scanners (one for each machine) that allow users to validate that the correct bottle of chemical is being placing in the correct location on the machine (all bottles look alike but have minor differences to the barcodes). The application will be developed in-house and run on a single PC and record the fact that bottles have been changed etc.

The current idea is that the user will scan the bottle, scan a barcode for the machine location, situated on the machine at the location, and then the scanner confirms that all is correct. This confirmation could be as simple as a green/red light for valid/invalid or a small LCD with a valid/invalid message. The simpler the better.

Does anyone have any suggestions for scanners that will allow the application to advise the user in this way, preferably without a keypad although an additional button that can programmed could be useful.

Thanks in advance

Darren
