barcode reader inputs only the last 4 digits of the 13digits

i am using visual foxpro.i have set the text box parameters to accept any number of characters.i did this in the properties section.is there a piece of code i need to write to enforce this??

Did you check using notepad as recommended in thread694-1318808?

If the reader is only returning 4 characters then the problem is with the scanner setup ... not VFP.

i checked the scanner with notepad and it displayed all the digits.so i think the problem is with VFP.thanks
