barcode function--word label-making

hello, i'm wondering, does anyone know whether the barcode creation option on word for labels is accurate? is there a way to update that function, since the 9-digit zip code changes monthly?

Word BARCODE Field returns a POSNET or FIM code, if that's what you need. Other codes can be purchased, id needed.

Barcodes can be generated by downloading a font from many free websites. You might need to experiment with different sizes of the font and with the printer that you are using. Ink jet printers can not go as small as a laser jet system. Additionally, when generating barcodes, some readers need different ID tages ahead and behind the values for input. A little research into this may help. Please let me know if you have any other questions since I have done a few months of work into this subject.
