Barcode font reset sting is forcing a LF. How do I work around?

I have a HP5 with a BarSIMM. I have found the sequence to turn the font on. After many hours I discovered that turning the standard courier font back on was a valid reset. However it puts a LINEFEED in and I don't need nor want. What reset string will put me back in Courier font without an additional line feed?
