A problem I have found on some PC's, running Windows 2000, that a barcode font (installed in the font directory) is subistuted with another font. Other PC's load and run ok. This occures with Visual Basic Crystal Reports and Access 97 Reports.

I can go in to Access design mode for a failing report and the field has the correct font name. Preview mode for that report shows a subistuted font. I go back to the design change the font to another name and the back to the barcode font and it then preview works correctly.

I don't have Visual Basic on the offending PC's.

I have not found a knowledge database with a problem description for this problem.

Does anyone have a solutions?

Thanks

Loren

PS: This is also posted in Crystal Reports Forum.

Loren:

Keep the fonts you need on a CD - when you find them missing, install them from the CD.

I already have the font installed on the pc. It is the same font on all the pc's. Some don't recognize the font and others do. I have removed the font and reinstalled it with no change.

Thanks,

Loren

have you also tried, and this might be completely useless information, but give it a go,

in your access design views, that the font name you have specifed "font.ttf" is identical to the one in the fonts directory? is the path correct?

You can also try un-installing MS access and reinstalling it.

Thanks,

Luke
