Bar Graph with Lines

I am having trouble designing a bar graph with a data series appearing as a line. If I set the chart type to bar and then set the particular series to appear as a line I can not remove the series markers (which is required). If I set the chart type to line, and make the other data series bars, the bars over lap each other. Any ideas?

I think you need to explain exactly how the chart is set up--'on change of' fields, 'show value' fields, etc. Also identify your CR version.

On Change of Field:
dc.Period

Value:
Sum of dc.InternalFunds(area)
sum of dc.TotalFunds(bar)
sum of dc.unsecured(bar)
sum of dc.secured(bar)
sum of @PercentData(line)

The first four values on are on 1 axis, the Percent is on the other.

I am using CR 11.5

I don't see a way to get around this issue. Are you using a split axis? Or just dual axes? If split, you could probably just create a separate chart for the one value and place it below the first. If not split, you could try setting up a second chart where you make grid lines, etc., transparent and then overlay it on the first chart.

I am using dual axes, so I guess I am in a bind. The transparent idea might just work, or they'll just have to live with the markers. I just wish at the very least there was a way to make the markers smaller!

It looks like you lose control over the markers when using dual axes.
