Macola 7.5.103f sql server 2000. Investigating bar code solutions for shipping and recv.in a distribution envrionment. Any good solutions in place?

Use the Macola bar code modules. They work great. Is there anything special you need to do or do you just want to record certain transactions via bar code?

Alpha Sigma (Ralph Kubek) has a product called aScan. They do online demos & webinars. Scanco integrates with the Macola bar code modules & I believe they still use label matrix for printing labels.

What used to be called IPS is a good product - I don't know what they call it now since Macola bought out SAS, the original authors.

IPS is now Exact NJ & their product is WMS, info available at macola's website.

Nothing too special, record recv, shipping, billing. The mcaola modules would still require an interface to whatever type of scanning equipment?

Take a look at the WMS product. I have three customers who have been using the product for years. Good solid stuff.

I just checked out wms. Appears it lacks intergration into order entry macola to bill orders and confirm picking. This might have been an unmentioned requirement I have... ??

opps, I see it might perform billing, I was doing some very quick scanning.. Waht part of the counrty are your customers vbajock.. Might be interested in seeing in live.. I would be in a non-compete industry I can assure you..

The Wms system from Exact does a good job integrating to order entry. If you are using EDI it handles the ASN very gracefully. If you have an interest in this please send me an e-mail as I have a document that is very short and concise descriptions of it's capability.
