We use Crystal Enterprise 9 with Crystal Reports 9. I have never printed bar codes on a report but it looks like I can do this. Can someone tell me what I have to do to make this happen?

Thanks,
Bessebo

Hi,
If I Recall Correctly, you need to install some bar code fonts and associated support files - CR will then be able to format properly by using them..See the Bar Code suppliers docs for how to specify them..
Here is one link to a supplier that also references using them in CR User Function Libraries( UFLs)

( Have not used these so no endorsement implied)

Hi
First you need to install a barcode font your reader can read on your pc,nb:(if its a network pc it needs to be installed by an administrator). Then you simply add the field/formula you require to your report and format it as the barcode font.I use 3 of 9 this is a fairly common barcode font and can be read by the majority of readers.
Be sure you also include a start and end, this tells the reader where to start, and end reading your barcode in the case of 3 of 9 this is an asterix so if the field you wanted to be represented by a barcode was {Order_no} you should enter it as a formula eg "*"&{Order_No}&"*", this will give your start/end points.

thank you ajduk1. this is good info. do you have crystal enterprise? i'm just wondering about pricing, licenses, etc with crystal enterprise...
