I am writing bar code sentence fragments using Corel (Ver.7) It creates an img. When I print to acrobat writer or distiller, the bar code stripes become almost like a solid black bar with a few thin white vertical lines here and there. Using bar code std of "Code 39" (selectable in the Corel wizard.)
I turned off the embed fonts and compressions in various trial attempts to create a scanable pdf. However, if the source is an img, the fonts should not apply anyway, right? Any ideas how to get a true barcode image to go to be a .pdf ?
In one attempt, I actually pasted the img from Corel to MSWord, then tried making the .pdf from Word. Same unwanted outcome. I also looked through any settings in Corel to see if its preferences or such is compressing/converting/etc before printing to Acrobat. Don't find anything obvious there, so thought I'd see if anyone on this forum has guiding experience with .pdf-ing bar codes.
Thank you
