Kioko,

Adding barcode functionality to your application is a very simple. First though you need to decide what barcode type you need. Iam not an expert on barcodes and can't offer advice on the type to be used. ( see for info on products and types of barcodes)

The project I developed used Code 128. The printing of barcodes is easy - all you have to do is install some barcode fonts. The scanning and entering the barcode info to your application is easy too - your scanner plugs into your computer via a keyboard wedge.

Admittedly with no experience barcoding can be daunting but once you get into it it really is easy.

DougP in this forum has extensive experience of Access barcoding apps.
