I would like to know if it's possible to put together a stack chart, which contains multiple data in one bar, and a line chart.

ie. A B Total
Feb 01 10 5 15
Feb 02 14 2 16
Feb 03 16 3 19

I'd like a graph that shows Date on X-axis and
* A and B on the same stack bar chart
* Total as a line on the same charg
Thanks

Hi,
In you chart wizard select Custom Types and then select the combination of charting types that most closely matches your requirements. An individual charting type can be changed after the fact.

Hope this helps :) Skip,

None of the chart in the Custom Types has stack chart. :(

muimui ,

As I stated before, you CAN change the Chart Type...

1. Select the Type you want to change in your chart.

2. Menu Item - Chart/Chart Type and then select the stack

Try this..
highlite your data, then
from charts types....on the "Custom Types" tab,
choose "Line - Column"... see if you like the result!

Ooops, you want stacked...I forgot, stay tuned

Can I e-mail you a solution...it's kind of a cheat but I think it does what you want it to do.

Yes, you can have both.
Plot the stacked chart the way you normally would.

Switch the orientation so the totals are a data series you can get a hold of. - Format the data series, go to the axis tab. Select secondary axis.

Once you have it set to a secondary axis, change the chart type (for that data series only!!) to a line style.

You will get the stacked bar chart with the line on top of the bars!!

Cool stuff :) - I like to include my totals also.
