Banyan and Windows XP

I'm having overall issues getting banyan to play with windowsXP (note that it doesn't have to play nice...just play). Are there any Banyan clients for XP pro? I kep having problems with logging on to the shared directories. ANyhting would be helpful. I am in the process of migrating staff off of Banyan...but it will be several months before the migration is completed.

Does the user have admin rights on the pc?
are you useing ban.exe for the login icon?
