How do i disable my banner?

Telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Display SUN OS 5.X, I don't want to display this banner. I have edit /etc/motd and commant. Still....

Did you check /etc/issue and /etc/issue.net?

I believe you only have to delete stuff from /etc/issue.net. The other is for console logins.

Hi,

Go to /etc/default folder and edit file called telnetd. Insert BANNER="". If file does not exist create one.

thanks for your input. Just created /etc/default/telnetd and put the entry. It is working fine.
