Hi,

We use the "banner motd" to display an "Authorised users only" banner when logging onto our Cisco switches and routers.
When I use telnet to access the routers this banner is shown before the username/password prompt.
When logging on using ssh the banner is displayed after entering the username/password.
Is there a way of displaying a banner before logging on when using ssh?

Many thanks

Looks like you may have to add a banner login statement that looks like the motd if you want it to show up before logging in using ssh .

Many thanks for the help

I'll configure PuTTY to send username and add a login banner
