Dear All,
I have tried to migrate from 8.1.6.0.0 Enterprise Edition to 8.1.7.0.0 Standard Edition using odma and it seems to have worked. Has anyone got an 8.1.7.0.0 standard edition db and if so what does the results of this produce:-
Select * from v$version;
8.1.6.0.0 EE gave me :-
Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.0.0,64bit-Producti
PL/SQL Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
CORE 8.1.6.0.0 Production
TNS for HPUX: Version 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 3.4.0.0.0 - Production
and 8.1.7.0.0 SE gave me:-
Oracle8i Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
PL/SQL Release 8.1.7.0.0 - Production
CORE 8.1.7.0.0 Production
TNS for HPUX: Version 8.1.7.0.0 - Development
NLSRTL Version 3.4.1.0.0 - Production
Is this correct and is there any other way of knowing if the migration has upgraded the db from release 2 to 3 and downgraded the license from Enterprise to Standard.
If this has worked correctly then I guess I've killed two birds with one stone?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Paul
