Hello,

We're using Accpac 5.5A.
When trying to clear a check I receive an error message saying that the reconciliation posting date 5/31/2010 for withdrawal xxxx must not be earlier than the withdrawal posting date 6/1/2010.

We are required to reconcile on 31st.
Could you please advise what I need to do to fix this problem?

Found this thread in another forum:
We have Product Update 2 for System Manager installed.

Read the error message again and think about it clearly.

Hi ettienne,

Thanks for your reply.
Maybe my question was wrong.
I know I have to change the withdrawal posting date to an earlier date in May but I don't know how to do that?

If you could please advise?

You cannot, you are stuck behind the 8 ball. Either return the receipt and enter it with the correct dates, or just live with it and let it go.

ok, i've double checked now and had a look into the AP payment entry for that check.
The posting date was on the 31/05/2010.

Isn't the AP payment posting date identical to the withdrawal posting date? Where does Accpac then get 01/06/2010 from?

I must be missing something here.

No, you can have a check date that is different from the posting date. Option the payment batch and look at the entry with the check, what is the Payment Date and what is the Posting Date?

Payment date is 27/05/2010 and posting date is 31/05/2010.
So where is Accpac getting a withdrawal posting date 01/06/2010 from?

Don't know, maybe it's on a different check than you are looking at?

Withdrawal number in bank rec and check number in AP are the same. Starting to think this is an Accpac bug.

Anyone else got another explanation?
