I use AutoCad Architectural Desktop 3.3 to diagram out crime scenes. I also use Poser 4.0 to position bodies and then import them into Photoshop 7.0 to edit for transparency of the background. From there the body is saved either as a Tiff or Gif in order to preserve transparency and brought into AutoCad as a raster object. I set Transparency to on and set Frame to off.
We recently upgraded our primary printer to a Canon S9000 which we really like. However our bodies now appear with 1 or 2 stripes of white banding like the printer just did not print there. Other raster objects such as photos do not have this banding. However they have no transparency set in them. The Diagrams print fine on our HP 1200c so we know it isn't a problem everywhere. Could it be a driver issue?
I have been running a series of tests to perhaps narrow down a setting I have missed and the results are as follows:
1. Printer setting (standard/fine/draft) - No Change
2. Transparency On/Off w/ White background - No Change
3. Image Type w/ white background - No Change
4. Printer Model (Canon S9000 vs. HP DJ1200c) - Change
5. Image Background color w/ Trnasparency off - Change
From what I can determine, a white background for our bodies will not print correctly on our S9000. Does anyone have any suggestions of settings to change or different things to try? I have run out of thoughts. Thanks
